### Prevention Alerts

**What are Prevention Alerts?**

 Prevention Alerts help you prevent a chargeback before they happen. With our largest prevention alert network, we are able to stop up to 25% of your chargebacks before they hit your account.

 

**Why do I need Prevention Alerts?**

Prevention Alert enrollment is a requirement from our sponsor bank for certain merchant categories. Your industry is required to enroll in Prevention Alerts program to proactively prevent chargebacks.

**How do Prevention Alerts work?**

We receive a notification when a customer contacts the bank to dispute a transaction. Our Prevention Alert partner Chargeback Gurus will issue the refund on your behalf to proactively prevent the chargeback.

**How much does it cost?**

We charge $40.00 per alert received.

**How will I be billed?**

You will be billed twice a month for the alerts you receive by our Prevention Alert Partner, Chargeback Gurus. You will also receive access to a secure portal where you can see all your alerts.

**What if I use another provider for Prevention Alerts?**

All of our medium and high-risk merchants are required to participate in the Prevention Alerts program, and we are unable to allow other third parties to manage your alerts. 

**What if I pay less for Prevention Alerts elsewhere?**

We offer the pricing stipulated by the Prevention Alert networks. We are unable to discuss pricing offered by companies that aren't approved to work with us.

**Who provides the service?**

We have approved Chargeback Gurus to manage Prevention Alerts for our merchants. They follow all necessary security guidelines when managing your alerts.

 

### 3D Secure

**Why do I need 3D secure?**

Your industry is known to face a lot of Fraud and Not-Authorized chargebacks. 3D Secure helps minimize chargebacks from those sources. 

**How does 3D Secure work?**

When a customer enters their credit card information on your checkout page, the transaction is sent to their bank for verification, which provides protection from Not-Authorized and Fraud chargeback claims. The customer is NOT required to enter a PIN during the verification process. It happens seamlessly at the background.

**What is the price for 3D Secure?**

We charge $0.25 per transaction.

**How will I be billed?**

You will be billed twice a month by our 3D Secure partner, Chargeback Gurus.

**What if I use another 3D Secure provider?**

You are required to participate in the Prevention Alerts program, and we are unable to allow other third parties to provide the service.

**What if I pay less for 3D Secure Elsewhere?**

We offer the pricing stipulated by the 3D Alert program. We are unable to discuss pricing offered by companies that aren't approved to work with us.

**Who provides the service?**

We have approved Chargeback Gurus to provide 3D Secure to all our merchants. They follow all the necessary security guidelines to provide this program.

**What do I need to do to activate the service?**

Our 3D Secure service provider will send you a code snippet to be added in your checkout page. Once you've done so, testing will be completed, and you will be live with 3D Secure protection within two business days. It's an easy process that produces powerful results.

 

### Payment Gateway

**What is the name of your payment gateway?**

 NMI

**Is there an API?**

Yes, we can provide you with the API for integration.

**Do I have to use your payment gateway?**

Yes. The gateway we provide comes with all the security features necessary to protect your transactions.

**How much does it cost?**

$0.15 per transaction.

**Who does the billing for the gateway?**

Our gateway management partner Chargeback Gurus will bill you twice a month.

**What is a Chargeback?**

A chargeback occurs anytime a cardholder (customer) calls their credit card issuer to dispute a transaction either after contacting a merchant resulting in an unsatisfactory result or instead of contacting them. The reasons for disputing a transaction can be goods or services were not received, damage or quality, late delivery, fraud claim, not as advertised, or for any other reason.
