
Chargeback Prevention FAQ
Prevention Alert enrollment is a requirement from our sponsor bank for certain merchant categories. Your industry is required to enroll in Prevention Alerts program to proactively prevent chargebacks.
We receive a notification when a customer contacts the bank to dispute a transaction. Our Prevention Alert partner Chargeback Gurus will issue the refund on your behalf to proactively prevent the chargeback.
We charge $40.00 per alert received.
You will be billed twice a month for the alerts you receive by our Prevention Alert Partner, Chargeback Gurus. You will also receive access to a secure portal where you can see all your alerts.
All of our medium and high-risk merchants are required to participate in the Prevention Alerts program, and we are unable to allow other third parties to manage your alerts.
We offer the pricing stipulated by the Prevention Alert networks. We are unable to discuss pricing offered by companies that aren't approved to work with us.
We have approved Chargeback Gurus to manage Prevention Alerts for our merchants. They follow all necessary security guidelines when managing your alerts.
Your industry is known to face a lot of Fraud and Not-Authorized chargebacks. 3D Secure helps minimize chargebacks from those sources.
When a customer enters their credit card information on your checkout page, the transaction is sent to their bank for verification, which provides protection from Not-Authorized and Fraud chargeback claims. The customer is NOT required to enter a PIN during the verification process. It happens seamlessly at the background.
We charge $0.25 per transaction.

Our 3D Secure service provider will send you a code snippet to be added in your checkout page. Once you've done so, testing will be completed, and you will be live with 3D Secure protection within two business days. It's an easy process that produces powerful results.

A chargeback occurs anytime a cardholder (customer) calls their credit card issuer to dispute a transaction either after contacting a merchant resulting in an unsatisfactory result or instead of contacting them. The reasons for disputing a transaction can be goods or services were not received, damage or quality, late delivery, fraud claim, not as advertised, or for any other reason.
