Tim Tynan, CEO

Tim Tynan is a seasoned senior executive and business leader with extensive experience delivering financial and operational results across the payments, financial services, and technology industries. Tim currently serves as CEO for Chargeback Gurus, a leader in chargeback prevention and recovery services for e-commerce payments. Tim is the former CEO of Bank of America Merchant Services, one of the largest payments and FinTech organizations in the United States. Prior to Bank of America Merchant Services, Tim was at Citigroup, where he served as the COO of the Global Transaction Banking business, which included payments treasury solutions. Before Citigroup, Tim held management positions and various leadership roles at IBM. Tynan has worked with various non-profit organizations and is currently on the boards of Borough of Manhattan Community College, A Chance in Life, and is the Co-Chairman of the New York Hall of Science. Tim serves on the Board of Directors for Brink’s Inc., and Engage fi, and is the former President and Chairman of the Electronic Transactions Association.

Rodrigo Figueroa, Chief Operating Officer

Rodrigo Figueroa is a highly experienced professional in the field of Risk Management, serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Chargeback Gurus. His primary focus is on establishing a sustainable framework that facilitates company growth while overseeing various aspects of operations, technology, and client success. With over two decades of expertise in the Investment, Commercial, and Consumer Banking industry, Rodrigo has worked across multiple countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. 

His extensive knowledge encompasses governance, controls, eCommerce, payments, cards, P2P networks, Electronic Wallets, as well as areas like Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Cyber Security, Technology Risk, Audit, International Governance, and Regulatory Management for Banking and Payments.

Rodrigo's proficiency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, along with his diverse background and exposure to various markets and cultures, has enabled him to achieve remarkable results in challenging and diverse environments. He holds a Master of Science degree in Risk Management from NYU and currently resides in Plano, Texas.

Rebecca Beam, Chief Finance Officer

Rebecca Beam is CFO of Chargeback Gurus. Rebecca is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and member of the AICPA.  She spent much of her career working with private and equity-backed companies in various industries.  Rebecca is an alumna of PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Company Services and former CFO in real estate and senior housing.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Oscar Bello, Chief Sales Officer

Oscar Bello is the Chief Sales Officer for Chargeback Gurus. He is an experienced leader of revenue-driven organizations in digital payments and has spent more than 25 years building and managing teams to meet their goals and create shareholder value. Oscar has led regional teams for large multinational digital payment providers, built organizations from the ground up, and transformed under-performing organizations into highly successful ones. 

Prior to joining Chargeback Gurus, Oscar’s career spanned across LATAM, North America, and Europe with digital payment leaders Ingenico, Sagem, Lipman, Verifone, and Poynt, where he led the LATAM, European and US core revenue teams. He has also consulted hedge funds, private equity firms, and venture capital funds about the payments industry. 

Melissa Hendrick, Chief Marketing Officer

Melissa Hendrick leads Chargeback Gurus strategic marketing efforts in her role as Chief Marketing Officer. Responsible for defining and activating the overall marketing strategy for Chargeback Gurus to establish a clear connection between marketing activity and business growth. 

At her core she offers an unparalleled passion for igniting growth, building brands, demand, enabling revolutionary customer experiences, and driving connections with prospective and current clients and strategic partners. She is an omni-channel demand generation marketing executive with extensive B2B SaaS enterprise and mid-market marketing expertise across a broad range of marketing capabilities and marketing functions.  

Her track record of success includes developing and executing result generating SaaS based B2B marketing, demand generation, digital channel management, integrated communications, channel and sales enablement, marketing operations and customer experience strategies and solutions.

In her prior role as Executive Vice President for Lockstep, Inc., Chief Marketing Officer of TeamSupport, LLC and Vice President of Yooz, Inc. she was responsible creating and implementing their respective marketing strategies to ignite brand that drives demand. Melissa graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Texas and currently resides in Dallas.

Damodharan Sampathkumar, Chief Product Officer

Damo Sampathkumar is the Chief Product Officer and General Manager India Operations at Chargeback Gurus, and is responsible for product strategy, platform development and leading technology innovation for the next generation in payments technology with specific focus on Chargebacks and Risk mitigation. He specializes in cloud native mission critical payment systems creation, group up technology platform setup and operations. He strongly believes that the secret sauce of a successfully product is the interlock between the Client, Market, Sales, Technology and Product management, to this end the Product management practice at Chargeback Gurus runs as a collaborative workspace where magic happens!

Damo is also the General Manager for India Operations at Chargeback Gurus and works closely across functions to provide leadership, agility and support for the rapidly growing Gurus team globally. 

In his career spanning over two decades, Damo has graduated through multiple generations of technology and innovation, constituted and run product advisory boards with industry experts, setup and executed product practices and ground up product marketing promotions through industry forums. He has successfully delivered multiple real-time platforms in the acquiring and issuing space across North America, Europe, India and the Middle East working with Central Banks, Acquirer processors and Fintech innovators. His greatest success has been to provide customer advocacy through diligently crafted solutions that help them achieve their business objectives. 

Damo has previously held leadership roles at FSS, Renovite and Logica leading major projects across geographies, providing oversight of multiple products lines across hosted and on-prem models, transformation with for profitability & revenue Assurance, solution Architecture & sales support through setup of business solutions groups. 

As a product leader, over the years Damo has put together strategic partnerships in the payments space for Transaction switching, Wholesale payments and Fraud and Risk management that have been game changers in the payments industry. 

Damo holds an executive management certification from IIM Bangalore in General management, MS in IT and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics. He is an amateur cyclist and regular endurance rider who loves to ride out during his time off to bring the right balance between work and life. 

Marian Wilson, Chief Human Resources Officer

Marian is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Chargeback Gurus. She has spent many years in financial services as a human resources executive, with deep experience building, transforming, and leading the entire “hire to retire” employee life cycle.

Before joining Chargeback Gurus, Marian served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Bank of America Merchant Services, LLC. She joined Bank of America in 1984 and held various leadership positions, including Human Resources Executive, Leadership Development Executive, HR Shared Services Executive, and served as an M&A Human Resources Change Integration Manager.

Marian graduated from Lander University with a BS in Psychology.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Let’s Talk Interactive.

Debbi Tank, Chief of Staff

Debbi Tank is the Chief of Staff for Chargeback Gurus. Since joining the company in 2018, she has played a key role in building Chargeback Gurus into the industry leader it is today. Debbi works with the CEO and members of the board on collaborating with senior management and department leaders, communication, corporate culture, corporate operations, and special projects. She facilitated the transition to a new executive team and launched a cohesive administrative team within the company to provide collaborative support to better meet company needs and goals.

Prior to her work at Chargeback Gurus, Debbi was the Senior Executive Assistant to C-Suite Executives at Goodman Networks. She was also an accomplished grant writer and trainer for the Junior League of Collin County, where she provided leadership for the committee responsible for obtaining grants and training women on grant research and writing skills.
